Gabe's Race • New Year's Eve

Buck Hill invites you to join us for an evening of celebration and ski racing in memory of our former Alpine Race Director & fellow racing enthusiast, Gabe Cyr. This race is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Mississippi River, with donations helping to preserve and protect the Pine Bend area along the Mississippi River where Gabe and her husband Oscar ran a ski area, as well as made their home.

RACE FORMAT:

2 NASTAR Giant Slalom runs. Awards based on best handicapped run. Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Adult Male, Adult Female, Boys and Girls (16 and under) and Team. Buck Hill will gladly put you on a team if you don't have one. 1st place winners will also have their names engraved onto the Gabe Cyr Cup.

COST:

There is no cost to race. Donations to the Friends of the Mississippi River will be greatly appreciated. There will be a Cash Bar and appetizers available.

AGES:

All ages and abilities are encouraged to race. Give it a whirl!

TIMES:

Appetizers and check-in 5:00 pm in the Hutch. Race starts at 6:30 pm
