7th Annual Dual Dash for Cash

Seeding Race: Friday, March 7th
The Main Event: Sunday, March 9th

Thank you for your interest in the 7th Annual Dual Dash for Cash. We are very excited to present this great head to head ski race. This event is not only fun to participate in, but also a ton of fun to watch.

Racer

This year the Twin Cities Ski Challenge is hosting the annual Joe Rauscher Memorial Ski Race on Saturday, March 8th. We have adjusted our schedule so that racers may participate in both the Rauscher race and the Dual Dash for Cash. The seeding race & bib draw is Friday night, March 7th, and the Main Event is on Sunday March 9th.

New this year! 45 & Up Division. Participants in this group must be at least 45 by March 7th. Those participating in this division may also race in the Open division. There will be a discount if you register for both.

Seeding
Racers will take two runs on either the red or the blue course. We will determine the course you run based on a color draw before the seeding race. We will then seed racers into the appropriate Division according to their best finish times on their particular course. The seeding for each Division is as follows: The top 8 racers on the red course and the top 8 racers on the blue course will fill seeds 1-16 within the Division. The next 16 racers will fill seeds 17-32 within the Division. Each Division will hold 32 racers. We will not separate the women from the men. If you’re participating in both the 45+ and the Open Divisions we’ll use your time to seed you for both events.

Jumps
The jumps will be no taller than two feet. If you feel unsure about them, sign up and if they are too much and you decide not to race we will refund your money.

Requirements
All participants must be at least 15 years or older and cannot be a current or former U.S. Ski team member.

Event Schedules

Friday, March 7, 2008: Seeding Race

Check-in will be at Tucker’s Bar & Grill starting at 3:00pm and will close promptly at 6:30pm. The courses will be open for training runs from 4:00-6:00pm. Course inspection will be from 6:30-7:00pm, with the seeding race starting at 7:00pm. After the seeding race, we invite everyone to join us again in Tucker’s Bar & Grill for the bib draw, light appetizers, and a cash bar. Sunday’s Race Day Itinerary will be posted at the Bib Draw. Be sure to check the Itinerary for your Division assignment as well as your designated start time on Sunday. If you cannot attend the bib draw you may pick up your bib in the Fireplace Room in the Main Chalet on Sunday beginning at 8:00am.

Sunday, March 9, 2008: Main Event

Check-in will be in the Fireplace Room in the Main Chalet beginning at 8:00am. Your check-in time and Race Start Time are determined by the Seeding Race. Be sure to check the schedule carefully. The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Whittier Room following the races on Sunday.

AMATEUR DIVISION
The amateur division will be made up anyone under 18 (must be 15 by race day) and those not qualifying for the A or B bracket. Prizes will be gift certificates and other good stuff.

All Divisions: The door prizes will be drawn from the pool of racers who did not win cash $50 and over. You must be present to win.

Cost & Registration

REGISTRATION LIMITED TO THE FIRST 80 RACERS
Cost is $30.00 if registering by Thursday, March 6th, or $40.00 if registering later. Cost to register for the Open Division and the 45+Division is $50 if registering by Thursday, March 6th, or $60 if registering later. All participants must have an Area Ticket or Season Pass to participate. Download the Registration Form and Waiver below, or register in the Ticket Office at Buck Hill.
